Scholar-in-Residence Program |
Aim: To bring visiting scholars from abroad to lecture at US colleges and universities
for one semester or an academic year. The program is especially appropriate for small liberal arts
colleges, minority-serving institutions, and community colleges, which may not have the resources needed
to host visiting scholars.
Guidelines: The proposal must come from the interested US institution, which may suggest
a suitable candidate or request that the Fulbright Comission participate in the recruitment of a person of
the required profile.
Fields of study: Preference is given to proposals in the humanities or social sciences, but
other programs focusing on international issues will be considered.
