This is a program to provide Fulbright
Senior Scholar Alumni small grants to develop and sustain
ongoing contacts and partnerships initiated as a result of
their Fulbright experiences in the United States.

Description |

A project to foster institutionally
supported linkages and sustainable mutually beneficial
relationships between the scholar's host institution
during his Fulbright grant, and the local university
with which the scholar is currently affiliated. Eg.:
- Joint curriculum development
projects.
- Distance learning innovations.
- Faculty and student exchanges.
- Publication of joint print/electronic
journals.
- Summer seminars for students,
faculty, administrators.
- Faculty/administrator training.
- Ongoing collaborative research.

AWARDS
will range from $1,000 to $20,000.

| Requirements |
- Alumni with current affiliation
with a university or institution in Uruguay which
will assume responsibility for administering the grant,
and will support the joint project
- Involvement of scholar's
host institution during the Fulbright grant.

| Elegibility |
- Uruguayan faculty and
professionals who received CIES-administered grants
during the previous 5 years.

for presenting proposals to the Commission: May.
There will be an international competition for the awards,
and grant funds will be made available beginning in October.
