This is the opportunity to volunteer as a teaching assistant
and cultural ambassador in the Spanish language classes of an
American school.
The assignments are basically helping with classes during 25
hours a week, under the guidance of a Spanish teacher. This
may include working with conversation groups, making cultural
presentations, and tutoring individual students .
Requirements:
Single, between the ages of 20 and 30
Graduate of the second (specialized) cycle of high school
Able to communicate well in English
Teaching or youth leadership experience
A degree in education and teaching experience are very helpful

The exchange
takes place during a full school year (August/September to May/June)
or only one semester (about 5 months) or a quarter (9 weeks).
Selected
Amity scholars will receive:
Free room and board with a host family
or at school
A spending allowance of $150 (150 dollars) per month
Transportation to and from school
Visa sponsorship from Amity Institute
Certificate of Participation
The possibility of attending courses
in American History, Literature and in other subjects of
interest to the scholar; the chance to improve their English
language skills; the experience of teaching at a US school
and the chance to learn new educational techniques; an immersion
in American life and culture; make new friends.
They
will have to cover the following costs:
$20 (20 dollars) for
administrative costs of the Fulbright Commission, at the
beginning of the application process.
The cost of international airfare (round-trip)
An assignment fee of $ 50 (50 dollars)
due after the assignment is confirmed
$150 (150 dollars) per month for personal
expenses
Health and accident insurance
$70 (70 dollars) per month.
