1.6. Educational Partnership Program
1.6. (formerly University Affiliations Program)



GOAL: To strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation among US and foreign educational institutions on specified themes of common interest to the US and to the participating colleges and universities.

PROJECTS: proposals should benefit both partners, and explain how the cooperation will enable each of the institutions to address its own needs.

Eligible Fields
  • The social, political and economic sciences.
  • Environmental studies.
  • Law.
  • Business.
  • Public administration.
  • Educational development or administration (including educational projects in the physical, technical or health sciences, and the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language).

Foreign Institution Elegibility:
  • Participation is open to recognized institutions of post-secondary education which may include independent research institutes.

Country Elegibility:
  • not every country is eligible every year, but approximately every 3 years. Uruguay was eligible for FY2001 and is anticipated to be so again for FY2004.

Program Duration:
  • 3 years.

Funding:
  • Up to U$S120.000 for may be requested, and both participating institutions must show cost-sharing in the program.

.: DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS: NOVEMBER (subject to confirmation ). Submission must be made by the US institution.
