To allow Uruguayan scholars to carry out a research project at
one leading institution in the United States. Scholars
may also be invited to lecture at another university and/or
college

Requirements: |
- Uruguayan citizenship
- Professional degree
- Proficiency in English
- Detailed statement of proposed activity for research
- Proof of publications
- Over 35 years of age
- Return home for at least two years at the end of the
program
- Commitment to the Fulbright goal of mutual understanding
- While it is not necessary to have a letter of invitation from a US institution, we encourage applicants who have preliminary contacts to identify them and if possible, include
such a letter

Length of
program: 2/3 months in the US, between January and
December 2006
Deadlines: The application form may be requested at the
Fulbright Commission starting June 15 and must be completed and returned
(with supporting documents) no later than August 15 before 1 p.m.
