| Applications:
From March to June |

| Starting
at the beginning of March, candidates may obtain the instructions
for completing the application form, and will have approximately
two months to submit the completed form, i.e.: with the
corresponding documents; transcript, university diploma, letters
of recommendation, etc. The form must be completed in English,
and four sets must be submitted: one original and three copies. |

| Based
on the documents presented, and the results of the tests, an
initial selection is made, and interviews are arranged. Selected
candidates will be informed shortly after that, and after approval
of the Fulbright Scholarship Board and admission to a university,
they will be able to begin their studies in August/September
of the following year. |

| It
is very important for the candidate to be clear about his/her
preferences regarding universities, and that he/she submits
a specific program of studies. For that purpose, we suggest
that candidates to use the Education Advising Center at the
Fulbright Commission. |

| In
order to apply for these scholarships it is not necessary
to have admission to an American university. If the candidate
is selected for the grant, the Fulbright Commission will submit
his application for admission to those universities he has chosen,
and to others which may seem adequate to the candidate's program
of studies. |

- To return to Uruguay for 2 years upon completion of studies
- To join the Alumni Association of the Fulbright Uruguay program, and participate in its activities
