| 1.1.1.
Where should I apply? |
| There
are about 3,000 universities and colleges in the United States.
Of these, 2,000 award Bachelor's degrees (BA) and 1,100 award
both undergraduate and graduate degrees (master's and doctoral).
In order to chose the most appropiate one, each person must
consider several factors: |
- Look for the universities that offer
the programs which best fit your needs . (It is usual to
apply to about half a dozen, because admission is competitive,
and the hypothetical financial aid is even more competitive).
- Make sure that these institutions are
accredited regionally or professionally.
- Consider the cost, reputation, location,
size, admission requirements and the programs offered. Also
the characteristics of student life at these universities,
and the support services for foreign students.
- Search the following pag: www.utexas.edu/world/univ/state,
www.petersons.com
y www.mba.com.
- Visit the Educational Advising
Center for more detailed information.
