| It
is not easy for a foreign student to get a job, specially at
the undergraduate level. Therefore you cannot rely on employment
as a way of paying for your studies. By law, you can only work
within the university campus: working off-campus is illegal
and can lead to deportation. On-campus employment is limited
to 20 hours per week, generally at the minimum wage which
is currently $ 5.15 per hour. This could mean enough income
to cover the cost of books, clothes, and personal expenses.
These jobs are usually obtained through the International
Student Office of each university. |
